Chinese New Year

There are a lot of ways to illustrate ice, but none so close to my heart (uh ... mouth) than Chocolate Icing.  I have never passed up a chocolate cake without sampling the icing.   All for this week ... see you all soon :P

Snow Creatures

This is the imprint of a Cooper's Hawk

that pounced on her pray in the snow.

Trees always make magnificent snow creatures ...

This large female eagle had just been released after being rehabbed at our facility.  We took her to the place where she had been found and it took her a few minutes to acclimate herself, but then she was off, never to be seen again. 

The moon always brings the sparkle out in the night snow and creates creatures by casting shadows ...

My favorite snow creature ...

I will apologize in advance ... I have things going on in my life that are demanding a great deal of my time, so, though I have time to post this morning, I won't have time to comment until later in the week.
