Back to Phuket
While walking along the pier that took us from our boat to our Van I spotted a group of birds way out on the beach (low tide)
Turns out there were two Great White Egrets and a small group of white morph Pacific Reef Egrets ...
He was moving with a purpose, though I couldn't see what he saw. Having to rush to catch my ride, I didn't get to see if he found what he was looking for, but I loved that I had seen him at all :)

Good morning Andrea! What amazing shots of these birds in Thailand. Such an adventure that was for you, and that dark morph egret is so unusual. Hoping that you have had an amazing summer, and I had to stop by to let you know that I am still alive and well. Just now trying to get back in the swing of my blog. Hope all is going well for you. Going to do a little bit of catch up soon!!
Hello Andrea, pretty shots of the egrets. The dark morph egret is a cool sighting. Great photos. Have a happy day and week ahead!
Really nice birds! I've never heard of that one before before!
Beautiful - and I love the reflection in the second to last too. A most excellent capture.
Great photos!phyllis
Interesting group of birds. Pacific Reef Egret would be an extreme rarity down here in Tassie although allegedly they have shown up in the past.
WOnderful array of egrets oon the beach
Hello!:) What great, and unexpected sightings, especially of the Dark Morph Egret. It would have made my day, but it was nice to see it here.:)
Great shots, especially of the dark morph egret.
Lovely shore birds! That dark morph is so interesting!
Great photos of egrets!
lol, great sightings and, I´m sure, memories, from your trip :)
Nice - I'm going to have to see if these are the same species as we get here - I suspect that they are. Off to library!
Hope you do get to Australia - and if you do, don't forget its the same size as the US!
