These are both using the mask/brush technique. I really love this technique and the results I get. That said, I am hoping next year, when the holiday madness settles, I will be able to learn some new techniques. Meanwhile ... enjoy :)

These are great, Andrea! It's fun to play with new techniques, isn't it!! As I'm spending the holidays in Portland as well as moving back there when my lease here is up, I'm having to put a lot of "camera fun" on hold! Hope you have a great week!
Wow, nice job. I love your deer! You did a great job putting your kitty with the deer. That is one technique I have never tried. Once the holiday rush is over, I'll have to give it a try too.
I need to learn to be more adventurous and try new things. No one around here is into photoshopping their photos so I tend to learn new things slowly.
Well, now it's time to see about setting up my tree. I've had a little nap so I should be good to go. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
have not learned to use masks yet and yours have a great effect.
These images are so soft and gentle! I feel i want to pat them:) And i love the way you emphasised their eyes (and nose). Nice processing Andrea. I need practice in that technique!
Thank you for taking part in Mandarin Orange Monday:)
And enjoy these shots I am. Heres to Boxing Day, when the madness settles. Some years ago when asked what I wanted for Christmas I said Boxing Day - and I haven't changed my mind.
Great photos!
