Thursday Art & Dinner Date!

 Aerial View

Aspen, Colorado
Pictures taken from the ski lift in Aspen ...

A Flight to the state of Washington

These, I believe, were over Idaho ...

This is an aerial view I saw often when volunteering at the Raptor Center ...
It started out as a water color but, of course, the scanner saw fit  to redo it, so now it is a digitally painted picture with some colored pencil touch ups ... 😜

You have some great aerial shots, and using the view from the ski lift is a great idea. I always like the view from a plane when it is clear and you can see. And that hawk piece is amazing, even if the computer did adjust it on you. I think it would be great to volunteer at a raptor center.

Great coverage of the theme, Andrea. One day you will have to do a whole post, or series of posts on your experiences at the raptor centre. I am sure your readers would all be fascinated. I know I would be. The weekend is coming up - enjoy! Best wishes - David

...there are few parts of flying that are enjoyable theses day, but looking out the window at the landscape has to be one of them.

love your raptor painting. I understand what you say about the scanner. Scanners and printers always destroy the colors. I have given up on that. My printer is stupid so now I only use it for text.

I have seen those fields on my travels and I don´t like them. Seen them from the ground as well and that is a good way to waste water. :(

Andrea,

Aerial photos are interesting. I love the pictures that you captured of the landscape. The first one over Idaho makes me think of a patchwork blanket. ) I always think that's so neat. The second one is very interesting. You have blocks and circles. What are the circles? I've scanned old Polaroid pictures before which didn't translate well. Those I had to convert to black and white images. You did a nice save on your scan. :) Have a great week and thanks for dropping by, my dear!

Andrea, your aerial photos from the ski lift remind me of when I conquered my fear of heights. It was probably back in...2006-ish? I was living in the Appalachian Mountain area of Quebec and I decided to climb Mount Orford and take the ski lift down. I was beyond white-knuckle terrified!! But I did it every day for a month and by the end I could look down without feeling like I was going to fall! Great post! ♥
