NF Trees and Bushes

Barberry Bush

This is my neighbors Barberry hedge with it's new spring growth glowing red over our sidewalks.  Soon he will come out and trim it back so it looks like a hedge again, but it will have lost it's pizazz.  It will still be red, but a more maroon dark color.  I love it when it looks like this, but apparently, I am the only one who does :)

I like it that way too. I'm not in favour of lined up gardens so :)
Lovely picture.
Have a nice day

I like it this way better! But I understand that in the long run there won't be place for anything else,:):)

I don't like hedges that are cut. Some people trim flowering quince and forsythia until they are just plain ugly to me. So, I am with you.... let the thing be.

Wow.
Jungles are good. And red jungles are even better.

Wonderful red bush.
Your neighbor is very diligent :)
Thanks for dropping by, Andrea.

it does seem like a bad idea to trim it. But maybe the people walking by get brushed by it. :)

Love the color and the hedge. I linked up my redbuds like you suggested. Thanks!
