Scribble Picnic

New Years Party

We celebrate New Years at home because there are too many crazies on the road.  We watch the New York count down and then the Chicago fireworks , drink a toast, share a kiss and go to bed.  Yes, midnight is past my bedtime and I am not worth much past the hour of eleven.  But then, each day following is a celebration of the New Year.  I wish you all a glorious, creative year :)

And, Thanks to Rain, I have my comments back, so please come see me and say hello :)

This art work is a combination of digital cut, paste, paint and the people and cats are drawn and digitally painted.

A very, very Happy New Year to you and yours.
The New Year knows her way, and has her own key so I no longer wait up for her.

So glad your comments are enabled again (thanks Rain). I've had serious 'commenting' problems for a month or so and am really behind keeping up with my dear blogging friends. Blogger and Safari are becoming too frustrating - they all need to get their act together!

Love this piece, especially kitty on the chair - sending best wishes for 2019 Andrea.

I love your party art contribution, Andrea! It's cosy and heartwarming!

We always stay up to toast in the new year and we also stay awake all night long to greet the dawn of the new year. Crazy but fun. :)

All the best to you for 2019! :)

Happy New Year! Sometimes the smaller parties are the best - party of two sounds fun and cozy to me. I love your artwork. This really tells a wonderful story.

Andrea,

We celebrate on New Year's Eve from the comfort of our home, too. You not only have the crazies to deal with but the frigid weather, too. No thank you! I like your SP illustration. It depicts the spirit purrfectly in my opinion. :)

When time permits, please come to by to check out my Scribble Picnic contribution!

Here's to lovely 2019!

Than you, thank you to Rain! Yayyyyy! So what was the problem, Andrea? So glad you've got this working and see now that people are again able to leave you comments.

I love your sweet picture of domestic bliss. Perfect. At first I thought it was a massive down of cookies until I put my glasses on and realised it was a Tiffany lamp between you. Hahah. Chicago fireworks? they actually show that on the TV? Never seen those. That sounds like it was probably a lot more eventful than the NY coverage which was abysmal as the camera had rain on it and the pre-fireworks' smoke covered the ball drop!! I loved Sydney's and London's too which was actually probably the best of the bunch this year. Paris didn't have the Eiffel tower lit this time which just wasn't the same, as pretty as the Arc de Triomph is, admittedly.

Thank you so much for playing along!

BTW, the new theme is referring to one's own town, place, etc.

I was in bed snuggling with my lambie by 10pm. It was an uneventful evening.
