Wild Bird Wednesday



My Snow Babies ...
 Gold Finch ...

 Red Wing Black Bird ... this bird usually migrates, but I always have a few stragglers.

 Mourning Dove ...

 Seagulls on the Lake ...


 Blue Jay ...

 Can't you just hear your mother saying "chew with your mouth closed!" :)

 House Finch ...

 Red Bellied Woodpecker ...


House Sparrow ... Kids on the playground ... some things never change!

Pretty pics!

I have the Red-bellied Woodpeckers visiting the suet feeder now, along with the usual suspects. But they're too shy to let me get a good pick. I need to get a new camera remote (darned things keep breaking after 6 months or so).

Like that last picture the most!! Our weather is typical for this time of year - hot one day, cold with hail the next!

Woodhen, is as you say a hen from the woods, sometimes things are as simple as they seem!

I know how fortunate I am to be able to visit places like this - and the even better thing is that I am going back to Lord Howe in January, but this time with the family!! Very lucky indeed.
