Well, if they are taken down whitout any good reason (illness og causing danger) it is a waste. Still the wood could be used for heating.

I agree with you, Andrea, but perhaps the tree was dying and now can become firewood to keep someone warm.
I wonder was it necessary to have those trees cut down?
It is sad to see live trees cut down for wood. Hopefully they were dead trees. Enjoy your day!
I don't like to see them all cut up, but I guess it is necessary sometimes.

What they do here is sell (or give away) the wood for fire wood. In this area where I live now, everyone has a wood pile and a woodstove (in addition to central heat) since temps go below zero in winter.
Sad. Someone's stash for next winter's stove, I suppose.
We prefer to see them growing freely, right?
