Wild Bird Wednesday

Okay, so I posted today's meme yesterday ... whatcha goin' to do about it?  I'll just post yesterday's meme today and all will be well, right?  Soooo, I'm losing it, you say ...  Yes, but I am still having fun and I know all of my smart followers will figure it out ... Have a great day in spite of me :)

We had a bumper crop of House Sparrows this year.  They are everywhere and they fly around in a big flock that whooshes in and then whooshes out of the yard at will.  They make a major dent in the bird seed supply ... but, like all of nature, they have their place and I enjoy their little antics and scoldings all around me when I am outside.  Life is good ...

Happy Wild Bird Wednesday :)

Sparrows have always had a special place in my heart. They are such cute and sassy birds.

Well I also love the little sparrows, and it's a joy to watch their antics. If our feeder is empty, the little sparrows come to my window and chirp at me to let me know they need food. Even Pogo loves to sit by his door and watch the sparrows.

I'm just catching up on your recent posts, and I must say that I really like the "Brown" one. My favorite is the last image of it. What a great fabric print that would make.

Well, the heavy rain has passed, and now it is just light rain. I just finished decorating our little Christmas tree, set lots of presents around it,, and set up our new Christmas angel. It's definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. This is my favorite part of the winter. Once it is over, I'll start my count down till Spring in earnest.

It's warm enough today (44F) that I can leave the inside door open and Pogo can lay on his blanket by the storm door and watch whatever is happening outdoors. He's such an easy little fellow to please.

Well now I must do a couple of things around here (wicked stuff like vacuuming and dusting). DIL is coming by later for supper. I'm thinking maybe I'll make spaghetti and chicken parmesan. Well, at least that is the plan at the moment. You and Izzi have a super day. Hugs, Edna B.

HI Andrea I was taking my breakfast this morning and watching about 12 Sparrows feeding at my feeders and I love all your photos of your Sparrows. Because of time differences I always post WBW on Tuesday MY TIME as it is Wednesday Stewart's time!!!

My dear Andrea. I am so pleased that you finally realize you've gone over the deep end. I wasn't sure how to inform you of that, but it seems you have come to a realization and acceptance of the fact. Please don't panic - none of my friends are normal or have all their wits about them and it's just one of the many things I adore about you. Nice sparrows also.

I think sparrows are cute birds. I laughed when I read your intro to this post. As long as you are still having fun, all is well. :))

I love sparrows, despite them being a bit of a pest!

Pardalote is said 'par-da-lowt' - you should try some of the aboriginal place names - wow!
