Song-ography

Our Earth, she is so beautiful and wondrous.  So full of the miracles of life ... and yet, she suffers at the hands of a cancer.  A cancer that has no respect and is impossible to eradicate ... except, perhaps, by it's own hand.  We are the custodians and we are failing. Will we be our own worst enemy?  We have it in us to be synergistic ... to live along side of all life, to join forces with nature to nurture our home, our earth.  So why then ... ?

Today's song is Jack Johnson - Upside Down  Join Kathy on Song-ography and see how others have interpreted the lyrics.

Somedays we ARE the cancer on this world we inhabit, and abuse. Slowly (too slowly?) some of us are realising that the earth needs our care, our respect - and our wonder.

Earth is a beautiful thing indeed. I wish more people took the time to take care of it too. What a stunning video. Your piece is quite lovely too, such gentle colors.

I believe this is not a cancer so much as a gaping wound inflicted upon Mother Earth by Man. Unfortunately, Man has always been the most selfish predator. No doubt that will not change, now.
We cannot change others. We can only change ourselves by following our own individual conscience. Those who know things are wrong need to make small changes. Together, small changes can make a difference.

Like so often our health, our world is taken for granted. Better care needs to be taken. Thank you for sharing at Song-ography.
