Wild Bird Wednesday

Wait, Watch & Worry ...

Huh?  Last time I was here there was a lake ...

What goes ... are we early or is the lake late?

This water is hard ... how am I supposed to find food?

I'm out o' here !

The dilemma is that the birds are returning but everything is still frozen ... how do they find food?  I can only hope they have more options than I am aware of  ... meanwhile, I
 wait, watch and worry ...

HI Andrea Biy this is a real problem for the birds. I do hope the snow melts soon.

I hope you are right. Gorgeous images - but such a difficult time for birds and animals.

I hope the ice on the lake soon melts and that the birds can find a place to eat and stay until then. Great photos.

I hope that the ice and the snow will be gone soon and that the birds will be okay.

God promises that he sees and cares for even the smallest sparrow...I trust Him, and pray for all of His creatures.

It's the same here, and I worry too.

yup..we have the same problem with Canada Geese arriving here already...but lots of snow and ice still. And more snow today. Hopefully most of the birds will stay south for a week or so more.

I know right where your heart is and I so hope and pray the thaw comes soon and that these birds find their way. I saw on dead Canada Goose the other day, and I am guessing it hit the ice to hard... We had alerts that some of the Great Blue Herons were being found either dead, or near death in Southwestern KY...very difficult challenges for mankind even more difficult for wildlife~
