Song-ography

My heart was sad when I saw this little goose at the river side ... where is her flock, where is her mate.  She is so alone ... One is the loneliest number.

I always worry about wildlife in the Winter, or any extreme weather, but especially when they are alone. It is hard to be alone.

oh that makes me sad too! Where is her flock. /??? You don't think she was injured do you? Maybe she was just scouting ahead and the others were on their way.....??? This looks like a pretty cold spot too.

Beautiful pictures. The sadest thing I have ever seen was 2 ducks along side the interstate. One had been killed by a car. The other was standing watch over her mate, quacking and looking distraught.

How very sad. And that clean snow says that she has been alone for a while. And Roan's comment made my sentimental eyes leak.

Hi Andrea, I hope this little one wasn't injured. Well it if was it was probably doing okay since in did have it packed in ice cold snow. I am a retired R.N. too. I'm impressed that you participate in agility with your dog. Bless you! I have a hard enough time getting myself around slowly and safely. Wish you a wonderful new week ahead.

Oh, how sad.
I often feel sad when I see wildlife that seems to be alone!

These photos make me sad too. I do hope that her flock is somewhere close by. I will be so glad to see the last of the snow leave, although they say we might be getting another storm sometime this week. It's been an especially hard winter on our birds and wildlife. You have a good night, hugs, Edna B.

She'll join her friends soon. She's just takin a little quiet time alone because their loud honking was driving her nuts.

"Just having a little me time!" - do you still have snow!

If the GC looks bigger from the bottom than the top it must look really huge!!

I may be back in the USA in the fall (as you say) - but it will be in Iowa if it happens at all!

Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne

Hopefully she was just resting up to go and find her flock. Sure does look lonely and cold so I hope she found a warmer place to fly off too.
