Mandarin Orange Monday

Once again, The Eyes Have It ...

I have been asked to show what I do to arrive at my pictures so for awhile I will add a description at the end of each post just to give an idea.  It is hard to keep up the flow of the work when I am stopping to write, so there may be times that I miss a step or put things in the wrong order.  The idea is to just get a feel of the things you can do with a photo that will make it artistic and yours :)  Enjoy

Starting with the first picture , I cropped, then filter Adjustment/ posterize.   I cropped again to get the eye and used filter sketch/comic then Enhance/color adjust. Used filter Distort/extrude.
Bring in the second picture, Artistic filter/ Cut Out.  Add extruded eye to each side using flip horizontal under Image/Rotate.  Filter Texture Craquelure @ 74%  Add pdpa texture Sky Love @ 82%, change to orange with Enhance/color adjust. Used Mask/brush  @ 4% oppacity to bring out some detail.  Crop and use Artistic Filters until I get what I want. There is much more that could be done.  I could use blending filters or even go to editors on line and use what they have to change or enhance.  But that can be for another day.

I enjoy seeing how someone comes up with the finished product. Very intersting and worth the work! Beautiful.

Andrea, I think that last week I said your work that week was my favourite of yours ever. I have changed my mind... this week is THE week:) You said you were using only one application...but, boy..what you have done with it is fantastic! Thank you also for describing your processes...I understand what you mean about writing it all down and "stopping the flow". Then there is the problem of being able to read your own writing! My writing has always been terrible...even for me to read. I have fixed the link...it is now actually Monday morning..just had breakfast... here in Australia. Was too tired last night to see if the link was working. It was my grandson's 4th birthday family dinner last night...and my good friend's 70th birthday party at lunch time. That is why I made MoM mid last week....and got it wrong:( Sorry. But thank you for still taking part, as always, and thank you for your words Andrea:) I
It is hard to choose a favourite..but I think no. 2 and no 5.!

These are amazing, but my favorite is the fourth image down. There is such an expressive look on the face. So much mystery about it. You are inspiring me to try my hand at M.O.M. again. Hmmmm, well I'm at work so can't chat long. You have a great night, hugs, Edna B.

I love what you did with the cats photographs. They're all so cool, that I can't pick a favorite. Happy MOM!

You know I prefer your natural, untouched photography the best. However, I am glad you found outlets here that let you play with your photos and artwork. (I told you a blog would be a great idea for it!)

Very colorful and full of texture! I like the third one with the short intense lines of texture! Thanks for your comments on my blog :)
