Mandarin Orange Monday

Lori is right ... busy week(s) and it was my intention, even before I read her post, to keep it simple this week.  Only I have been really drastic ... I cut it down to one picture :(  I picked a simple flower (which is beautiful and orange in it's on right) and turned it into a pencil drawing.  From their I added colors, textures, filters, layers (at this point, it ceased to be simple)and I finally reached a point where I either decided I was happy with it, or was thinking, enough! ... you decide :)

Happy MOM to everyone :)

Both images are gorgeous but this week the vibrancy of the original holds my heart.

The flower is cute and sunny, nice to look at on a cold snowy day. I like your creativity to turn it into art.

I love your simple flower. Things don't have to be busy to be beautiful. A flower starts out beautiful, and the orange just makes it magnificent! (can you tell I love orange? lol) We got snow here during the night, and it's been raining lightly all morning. Actually, it's supposed to rain all day. Then tomorrow we are supposed to have a snow/rain mixture all day. Just lots and lots of YUK! It's a good time to stay indoors. You be careful in this weather my friend. These winter storms are catching everyone, coast to coast. Gosh, if this is Autumn, I wonder what Winter will be like this year? You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B and woofs for Izzi from Pogo.

Both are nice - it's nice to step back and keep it simple, especially during the holiday times.

I agree with Nature Footstep ...you stopped at the right time:) Very gentle...in colour and texture. And beautiful big round shapes.
I wish I could stop at one..I always mean too... you have no idea how many I really DO end up with...far more than what I post..... probably why I am so late visiting you this week. I hope to stop at one this time... I have tonight and some of tomorrow to do it!
Thanks for sharing on Mom71:)
