Mandarin Orange Monday

This started out as a water piece.  I did add orange then ran it through a filter and this is what came out ... not much to my liking, but interesting none the less.

By adding another water source and decreasing the opacity, I came out with this ... a little more to my liking.

A little lighting effect  and I get this ... for the better?  I'm not sure, but I think it's time to move on ...

to an orangified window :)

Once through the Poster edges filter ...

and again through the Smudge Stick filter.
I feel like this is a weak offering, maybe because it took only minimal effort.  Though I have to admit the more I look at them, the more I like them.  Hopefully, next week will be an improvement.  I excuse myself because I had a minor surgery on Friday and minor as it was, it has zapped my energy.  So hope you were able to find something to enjoy ...

Happy MOM!

I was going to say "minimal offering my eye!" but maybe that is just an Australian saying.... :) I love the progression of both....and they both are so very different - rustic and the other elegant and decorative.
I wasn't crazy about what I did with mine this week either.... i think I got to caught up with blog technical stuff. But it i good to learn new things:)
Thanks again for being part of MoM Andrea, I always enjoy reading your comments - and of course seeing your art!

I really like the second one and the orangified windows. And as someone who doesn't play I am in awe - they don't look simple at all to me.
I hope the surgery went well and that you regain your energy quickly.

I like the last set best - I think they take on a cartoon like feel.

It was my intention to do "something a bit different" with the market shots - I dont want to end up just taking the same picture again and again (which I feel can happen with bird portraits)

I liked the last ones best, the orangified window and well, you know me...can never use the posterization effect enough. I could never understand why I like that so much until one of the posts above referred to it as having a cartoon effect. I read so many comic books as a child that may be why the look is so comforting to me.

Well I too liked the window shots best. There is nothing minimal here my dear. I find the designs around the window quite fascinating. I hope your healing process goes quickly and well. Get lots of rest now while you can. Have a wonderful day my friend, hugs, Edna B.

I also like the window. It seems so unique, almost unreal, as if in a dream or fable.
