Photo Art Friday

Pixel Dust Photo Art
As always a fun prompt.  I keep wondering when I will run out of ideas ... but, I am not going to worry about it until it happens.  I do have enough pictures to play with for many years :)  Thanks Bonnie, I learned some new techniques by following your sample in the
Photo Art Resource Cache.  Everyone who can, should join ... it is well worth it!

Pdpa Dropped Petals, Butterfly on plant (filter, color pencil), Pdpa Leafy Landscape, Mask/brush, filter-photo.

Pdpa Dropped Petals, Owl picture (filter, pencil drawing, select, Image extract, Pdpa Old Weave texture, pint eyes and beak), Public domain    picture Great Horned Owls in branch, select, image extract, mask/brush.

Pdpa Dropped Petals, Maroon Bells Mountains, soft light blend, mask/brush; Cowboy, select, extract, mask/brush;  aspen, select, extract, mask/brush;  Text with soft shadow.

This one fails the "abstract" test.  Don't know what it is doing in here, but hey ... I used the Pdpa Dropped Petals, that should count for something, right?

Pdpa Dropped Petals, winter scene, soft light blend, mask brush, clone stamp;  Izzi with Frisbee , sloft light blend, sask/brush; snow overlay, mask/brush;  Text with soft shadow; Filter smudge stick

We are experiencing "Winter Wonderland" now as another expected 6 inches of snow is falling ... on top of whatever we already had.  If it looks like Izzi is loving the snow ... she is.   Actually, I do too, so we have a great time outside until we get cold ... then it is time for hot chocolate:)
Happy Winter ... (spring is not too far off:)

How nice to know of someone else who enjoys winter. ;)

I don't know much about art textures. I will check it out.

Oh my, what fabulous pictures! I especially love the last two. The Rocky Mountain Hig and the Winter Wonderland. Great job!

I just went out and got my car's gas tank filled, and now we are hunkering down.

My goodness, you certainly have a ton of snow too. Your Izzy looks like he's having a fabulous time! Pogo does not like the snow. It's cold, and he's very low to the ground. lol. I looked for boots for him, but there were none his size. Oh well, he probably wouldn't use them anyway.

You stay warm too my friend. I think I might try scrapping a few layouts today. Till tomorrow, you have a great day. Hugs, Edna B.

I love all of them but I think I like the butterfly the best, so dreamy! The last snowy scene is fun! :)

It is obvious that you have fun here. That is important and what it is all about.
Nice job.

oh my!! you really did take this all round the barn, eh?! well, I love your first go especially much. soft and subtle yet well handled.

there were many suggestions Bonnie gave and that may BE where I got a bit lost. I tried too much together and in an order that didn't work.

when I kept is simplest and just did what was asked, I found I was happier with the results. I think this is why it is called a "challenge" rather than just sharing whatever floats my boat.

stretching is good.

What fun. I think you did some great work here. I loved the Butterfly and Owl pieces. Working nature into the texture worked great.

I love all of these.....very creative! I'm partial to the butterfly but the dog with frisbee is very cute.

Andrea these are all really amazing and think that you have done a lovely job. I am partial to the softness of the butterfly, but each one of these is very special. What fun it looks like you had!

Andrea I really like your abstracted owl - especially what you did with the line around his face. His simplified shape sits nicely on the geometric background. As for izzy - i think you just abstracted in a different, more expressive style.
btw you confused me on Currie's site! When I saw my name I thought I had ended back on my blog !!:))

Looks like you had a lot of fun, Andrea. Love the delicate touch of the first - and there is something about the Rocky Mountain High piece that is very pleasing to the eye.

Hey, Lori, sorry for the confusion. I corrected my mistake for Currie ... didn't think about the fact that you might see it. Thanks for your compliment on my owl. I am partial to raptors so my heart was in that one. Thanks ...
